1946- Sarawak civil servants resigned en masse in protest against the cession of their country to Britain. It was a civil disobedience movement. They went on strike.
Today's civil servants are mostly Malayans and they have got us by the balls. Unless civil disobedience spreads throughout society, we have little hope of success.
During the anti-Cession struggle, 388 government officials resigned their jobs in protest against the cession of their country to British rule. They put their principles first before money. People like Gandhi from lawyer to humble people's servant and devoted his life to freeing India from British colonialism.
Not to mention those who actually sacrifice their lives for freedom. Today most of us have been brainwashed into submission. Colonialism is also control of the mind plus threats and dirty trick etc.
Still that did not stop the Arab spring or shut up people like Jeffrey Kitingan, Daniel Jambun and Simon Sipaun in Sabah. In Sarawak like Lina Soo, Morshidi Abdul Rahman and masses of young generations on the rising.
But who will sacrifice their time and liberty as the patriots of 1946?
OUR FOREFATHERS HAD MORE GUTS!
