During the dying days of the British empire, many colonial documents from 37 former colonies were destroyed or hidden to save the Queen from embarrassment and protect the British government from litigation. In 1960, when the UN Decolonization Declaration 1960 was chartered, Sarawak was one of the last British colonies, and the declassified documents relate the communication between Colonial Office, Tunku, Sarawak Governor, in the run-up to the formation of Malaysia. Under the 30-year rule, many British colonial documents were made available to the public, with many only revealed this year.
'Sarawak For Sarawak’ car stickers (RM5), ‘Sarawak: The Real Deal’ book (RM80) and ‘Pemberontakan Brunei 1962’ book (RM25) will also be available for purchase.
See ya!
