Kenyataan rasmi ISMA mengenai 1Melayu 1Bumi

Ketuanan Melayu Islam di Malaysia adalah satu nilai tetap yang mesti dihormati. Ia tidak akan tercapai melainkan selepas bangsa Melayu bersatu dan kuasa politik kekal di tangan orang Melayu.

RESPONSE

Mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know each other. The noblest among you in God's sight is that one of you who best performs his duty. God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. 

(The Qur'an , 49:13) 

Basic tenets of racism have always claimed that their own race or nation is superior to others, and have used this claim as an excuse to seize other nations' lands and goods. This racist claim ends in countless wars, killings, and 'ethnic cleansing.' 

Whereas, as we have seen, the Qur'an teaches that superiority does not lie in race, color or any other feature, but in closeness to God and living by faith and morals. 

As the verse makes clear, God has divided people into different races and ethnic groups so that they can get to know one another and live in peace, brotherhood and tolerance. 

There can be no question of biological superiority among different races and ethnic groups. God ascribes the only 'superiority' among human beings to closeness to Him, and living in faith and morality. In a condition where people adhere to the Qur'an , therefore, there will be no conflict of race, color or tribe, and claims of superiority on these grounds will never be able to find fertile ground to grow in.

In another holy verse, God describes racism as the "fanatical rage of the Time of Ignorance", and reveals to believers that He will protect them against this provocative ideology:

Those who disbelieve filled their hearts with fanatical rage - the fanatical rage of the Time of Ignorance - and God sent down serenity to His Messenger and to the believers, and obliged them to respect the formula of heedfulness which they had most right to and were most entitled to. God has knowledge of all things.

Selaku pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) Melayu Islam, ISMA berpendapat seruan tersebut amat bertepatan dengan slogan yang dibawa oleh ISMA iaitu ‘Melayu Sepakat Islam Berdaulat’.

It's not just Malay union, but Islamic Union 

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

(The Qur'an , 03:103)

Islamic Union will be the salvation of the world Insha'Allah. Those beautiful days are very imminent. No one acting within the spirit of the system of the Mahdi, no one acting within the spirit of the Islamic Union would ever be defeated. They will then become the party of God. The Party of God would never be defeated. 

If ISMA has the intention to do good, he should support the Islamic Union with explicit statements and ask for the unity of our homeland and our nation, not just Malay Union.

RESPONSE

ISMA, take notes from this statement:

"I have been appointed as ruler over you although I am not the best among you. I have never sought this position nor has there ever been a desire in my heart to have this in preference to anyone else... If I do right, you must help and obey me; if I go astray, set me upright... Obey me so long as I obey Allah and His Messenger. If I disobey them, then you have no obligation to follow me"

(Abu Bakr Siddiq)

It is Allah, who determine and giving power to the people over the land: 

"Those who, if We give them power in the land, establish prescribed prayers (salah) and pay the poor-due (zakah) and enjoin right conduct and forbid evil. And with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all) affairs." 

(The Qur'an, 22:41)

In today's society the best way of selecting a leader or a man to an important position is by election. Though election may be the solution of this problem, yet this method cannot be correct in every situation, because election cannot alter the reality; it cannot make right as wrong or wrong as right. 

If the truth is the truth it can never be untruth despite the limited number of people supporting it. Nobody can say that a thing selected by 51 persons can be better than the one selected by 49 persons.

True, for practical purposes the opinion of the majority can be considered but can majority opinion points towards truth or realities? No, in principle the Islamic government is established on Divine principles and the majority or the minority opinion has no value because this government in fact is the government of Allah.

Would it not be better that Allah Who is Omniscient and most Merciful of the merciful should Himself appoint the Imam for the guidance of mankind.

If you care to know you will find that in the Holy Qur'an at about eighty places the opinion of the majority has been condemned. It says:

If you obey most of the people in the land they will lead you astray from Allah's path for they only follow their own conjectures and preach falsehood. 

(Surah al-An'am, 6:117)

"The most perfect of the believers is the best of you in character, and the best of you are those among you who are best to their wives."

(Hadith - Tirmidhi)

Clearly, there is no such thing as the Malay is the most righteous to govern any nation in this world.

The debate is on "Secession from Malaysia" comes on the 50th year of Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia. 

It is not surprising that the pro-Malaya side comes out sounding typically patronizing with their standard package of justifications to preserve the "Malaysia" status quo. 

The third speaker for the Opposition points out the defects in the "Government" argument.

The debate is based on the mistaken premise that Malaysia was a legitimate creation and turns on issues of non-compliance by the "Opposition" side as the reason for secession. 

Interestingly the first Opposition speaker failed to raise the 18/20 points in support of his argument for failure to comply. 

The "Government" side argues against secession by concentrating on "wait for development" arguments (a la Mahathir) and their lopsided view that Sabah and Sarawak are only states of Malaya and not "equal partners" in Malaysia.

The "Government side" tends to typically ignore the issues on independence rights and talk about the "greater Malaysia concept" federalism and need to share resources. 

Speakers seem to be unaware of the background issues for formation of Malaysia..Cobbold Commission again misquoted to justify Malaysia. They talk about benefits of federalism...

Mrs. Speaker, Ladies and Gentlemen

What is our position in today debate?

We think that Borneo which includes Sabah and Sarawak should secede from Malaysia to better able to determine its future and not be held ransom to what the Federal Government wants.

We think that for far too long....the Federal Government has disproportionately allocated resources to benefit the people over “there” than the people who deserve it far more here..

Individuals have to leave Sabah and Sarawak to obtain employment, to obtain a future. Individuals who are stuck here often times are stuck in the rural areas, lacking electricity, resources and limited ability to self actualise.. this is incredibly harmful.

What would I talk to you about in my speech?

Firstly, I will tell you why staying in Malaysia will not be good for Borneo like Sabah and Sarawak 

Secondly, I will tell you why Borneo has the right to secede and 

Thirdly, I will tell you why Borneo is better off with self- determination.

But before that let's look at a little context.

When do state secede?

We think that states secede when there are 3 key yardsticks

Firstly when there is important cultural differences.

Secondly when there is a disproportionate allocation of its resources like what happened with North and South Sudan.

Thirdly, when there is systematic disenfranchisement of communities.

So what is the problem in today's debate? It is linked to the 3 things I told you.

Firstly, we think that there is a different cultural and political climate. 

We look at how the Federal Government look at the “Allah” issue and infringement on Muslim rights and how it is so important and how it is so important to the practice of Christians who are the majority in Sarawak.

We look at how a lot of Borneons identify themselves as Borneons first and Sabahans first and Sarawakians first and then “Malaysians”.

We look how SS politically were originally intended to be equal partners with Federation of Malaya and now reduced to one of the 14th States...

Secondly disproportionate distribution of resources with regards to timber and petroleum, we get pittance given for royalty with a large chunk going to the Federal Government

Thirdly systematic disenfranchisement with regards to how democracy was supposed to work in these 2 states Talk about Operation IC in Sabah dilution of voters dilution sovereignty, issue of Allah was trumped up. Look at great income disparity between individuals in the 2 areas shows that federal government failed to honour its side of the agreement.

What is the mechanism in today's debate. We think the UN should Arbitrate this process

Any process regarding secession, a referendum should be carried out. Will only go through with 2/3 majority standing army UN peace keepers 

Standing army already been provided with regard to UN Peacekeeping force, Sarawak rangers already exist to defend the state against external influence

new constitution will be drawn up to revamp the system of tyranny from the federal government.

Trends already show voters moving towards opposition showing rejection of federal gov't

Birth of a nation... not easy process

Birthing pains...

Countries may be antagonistic towards us , new friends political alliance 

Friends and new political alliance that we can form, whatever benefits wouldn't be immediate.

(Interruption: Fed Gov't ensures a fair collective distribution to entire national..pop of SS less than peninsular...how is rthat economic...

SS has 20$% of population.. do not think that 20% of wealth of the country has been allocated to SS)

The first argument why staying in Malaysia will not good for Sabah and Sarawak systematic problem..

Firstly we think that Fed G incredibly entrenched with regards to the system of SS. 

BN looks at SS as fixed deposit....that means check and balances are inherently weak within SS...the systematic problem you cannot change by saying let's stick with the “status quo”.

Secondly we think that cash handouts make changes difficult to happen with elections much more difficult to win...with individuals being predispose.. (unclear)

Secondly welfare is politicized in order to benefit the Fed Government..also make difficult for changes to happen...regulations fail to regulate itself..

Thirdly why should Borneons have to wait for any longer for change – if they propose a slow organic change..we need to change now. We talk about self actualization..

Why should Borneo has the right to secede? Second argument.

We think it is a violation of initial contract, supposed to be equal partners violation of this right re fed state relationship.....the unique relationship has broken down because the Constitution amended to allow tyranny to exist from the Fed gov't over these particular 2 states. 

On the last idea why is Borneo better off with self determination...we think it is important to have self-determination because representation is important. 

Currently Sabahans and Sarawakians vote BN not because of loyalty, because they feel it is the only party that can help them because they is no other viable opposition ..

That is why they have to opt put of this oppressive system.

Also better new Borneo state new nationalism with regards to the Borneo Prime. Having your own state means you put your own interest first

We have waited far too long. Ladies and Gentlemen it is time to take what is ours back

PRESS STATEMENT

“Don’t Settle for Anything Less–Dr.Jeffrey”

Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan is the Chairman of STAR Sabah and State Assemblymen for N33, Bingkor, Sabah.

He also contested in P180, Keningau garnering 11900 strong votes

Kota Kinabalu: “The MPs from Sabah and Sarawak are kingmakers and can make or break the Umno/BN federal government. PRS and SPDP must stand firm and seek their just entitlements in the federal Cabinet and not accept crumbs posts any longer” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the impending Cabinet reshuffle promised by PM Najib to announced anytime soon.

The Borneo States saved the BarisanNasional from losing power in the recent general election and helped keep Najib as the Prime Minister by winning 47 parliamentary seats. But it only takes 23 out of the 47 seats to change the federal government and for the PM to become the federal Opposition Leader. 

Hence, these MPs need to constantly remind the PM and the federal government that Sabah and Sarawak are crucial for its political survival and are equal partners with Malaya in the formation of Malaysia.

The times for giving “Menteri Jalan-jalan” to Borneo MPs just to fill up positions and appease Borneo-based parties are gone. Neither is a chairmanship of a 1-Malaysia cow-dung committee acceptable.

Both PRS and SPDP have 10 MPs and giving them 1 minister and 2 deputies are not acceptable. If MIC with 4 MPs are given 2 ministerial and 2 deputy posts, there is no reason not to give PRS and SPDP 4 full ministerial positions.

The Sarawak federal lawmakers should not just stop with ministerial positions. Along with their ministerial responsibilities, there must be allocations and discretion and power to decide on projects in Sarawak to bring development in all aspects. It is not rocket science or opposition rhetoric that both States lag far behind in development and progress compared to even rural Malaya.

Budget 2014 announced by the PM recently with a miserly RM2 billion allocations for Sabah and Sarawak including RM500 million for the Pan-Borneo Highway will not go far in speeding up development.

Most importantly, the Sarawak MPs must seek the restoration of the oil and gas ownership rights and getting only 5% with the other 95% going to Petronas and the federal government is no longer acceptable. They need to support their Chief Minister who had voiced recently that Sarawak intends to seek a review of the oil payments due to Sarawak.

The Sarawak MPs will not be faulted if they just seek the oil and gas rights for Sarawak alone and leave the Sabah’s oil and gas issue to Sabah MPs.

While they are at it, they should extend their discussions with the PM to include the rights, privileges and autonomy of the Borneo States that were taken away or eroded since 1963. These rights and privileges were promised and assured by the Malayan leaders including provisions in the Malaysia Agreement and the 20/18 Points.

For the record, the PM himself has in the run-up the GE-13 and during the Malaysia 50th anniversary celebrations reiterated that the 20-Points for Sabah were still relevant and that Sabah and Sarawak were equal partners in the formation of Malaysia.

In the Cabinet reshuffle, the Sarawak MPs should not just accept minor positions and seek their just entitlements for Sarawak and not settle for anything less. Sabah and Sarawak are not demanding for more than their entitlements or taking away any entitlements or rights from other parties. 

The current realities of the political power wielded by the Borneo States can make things happen. Just ask and it may be given, demand and it will be given by the PM to safeguard his position.

Who knows? If the Borneo States push hard enough, Sabah and Sarawak may just be booted out of Malaysia just like Singapore.

916 Occupation Day - Lina Soo

Dear readers

916 was set up to create awareness that Malaysia is a hand-over 'on a silver platter' of both of Sarawak and Sabah, a takeover, an occupation, a colonization or neo-colonization, whichever way you wish want to call it. It is a subjugation and an exploitation, intimidation/indoctrination into subservience, controlling our minds, our resources especially our oil and gas, our wealth, our economy, and has even pervaded into our private beliefs into how we should not call our Maker.

What is the solution? There is no political solution in sight. Whichever regime is in charge, we still have to dance to the tune of our political master. Any change is simply changing the teapot without changing the tea.

As of now, the declassified British documents seem to offer a faint glimmer of hope with a legal solution. These documents of the colonial administration in its dying days reveal the ugly truth of how a nation and its peoples have been Shanghai'd, it's all there in black and white.

The peoples of Sarawak should demand the truth and an apology. And naturally the first step has to be the British court, it was our ex-colonial ruler who had breached their obligations and duty to us. We were denied us self-determination, and our people had been repressed to prevent us from exercising peacefully and freely our right to complete independence - all gross violations of human rights and the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and, our Sarawak Constitution and 9 Cardinal Principles.

Let us be clear on a few points: 

We do not seek compliance or restoration because this means we admit that Malaysia was properly formed. If we accept Malaysia by asking for compliance we will be walking back into the trap again. So no 'on and on' about Points and restoration. We also do not seek to dissolve the partnership, it is entirely unnecessary and not our job. 

We exchange notes with Sabah but we do not take joint court action because Sarawak and Sabah are two different countries with different ethnicity and different history, and the course of Sabah fate had deviated so much that doing it together will only slow us down; we can only help each other by taking independent action for a speedy outcome of which both will benefit.

The 4 M's of court action: NAME BLAME CLAIM SHAME!!

Our proposal to raise our case in the British court is to get a court declaration that there was non-compliance with UN requirements; on the contrary the rules for decolonization were being broken right and left. We also want an apology for our peoples who were detained without trial and subjected to human rights abuses.

We have the evidence and arguments. There is a small window of opportunity right now. We have to take a definite move and not wait for another 50 years.

State library appeals for local source of Brooke era material

KUCHING: The Sarawak State Library (PNS) believes that Brooke era writing and documentation can be found within the state itself, but its existence will remain unknown unless the owners come forward.

Speaking at the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between PNS and The Brooke Heritage Trust yesterday, PNS chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo asked that locals who possess these items to bring it to the attention of the state library for documentation and preservation.

Bugo added that the library would also like to make duplicates of the materials so that they could be added into their State Records Repository, available to the public.

“If there is an original document, we can verify if the history is accurate or not,” he said.

Bugo later signed the MoA on behalf of PNS, while Jason Brooke signed on behalf of The Brooke Heritage Trust.

In his speech, Brooke said that his grandfather Anthony Brooke understood that those who were too closely involved in the events might be unable to form an objective viewpoint, thus his approach was to make documented evidence available and allow others to form their own judgement.

“This is the philosophy of the Trust,” he said. “It is up to others to interpret – the historian, anthropologist, sociologist, film makers. It is for Sarawakians to know and understand their shared heritage.”

Brooke later presented Bugo with a hard drive containing 36,514 digitized Brooke era records. The originals are housed at Rhodes House Library, in Oxford. The digitization of these records is part of a large project undertaken by the Trust, with cooperation of Oxford University and Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, in an endeavor to support the expansion of knowledge on Sarawak’s history.

According to Arpah Adenan, head of the library’s depository services, the Trust and the library were mulling the possibility of housing the original documents in Sarawak.

“This is only when we have proper storage facilities for these documents. Right now we don’t,” she told reporters.

The library hopes to make the digitized documents available to the public within the year, but first, they will have to examine it themselves in order to better respond to requests for specific documents.

Also present at the signing was PNS acting chief executive officer Japri Bujang Masli.

Penahanan seorang warga Indonesia di salah sebuah pintu masuk Negara Sarawak

Pihak SSKM Administrative telah menerima laporan ringkas mengenai penahanan seorang warga Indonesia di salah sebuah pintu masuk Negara Sarawak. Penahanan ini melibatkan pemilikan MyKad yang mencurigakan dengan maklumat di MyKad menyatakan bahawa "pemiliknya" adalah warga Negara Sabah tetapi apabila disiasat, "pemilik" MyKad tersebut memiliki Passport Indonesia dengan gambar yang serupa pada MyKad.

Untuk pengetahuan pembaca dan rakyat Sarawak serta Sabah secara keseluruhan, ini adalah INSIDEN KEDUA di pintu masuk negara Sarawak yang sama dan sebelum ini pihak admin menerima laporan secara VERBAL daripada seorang petugas di Pintu Masuk tersebut. 

Ia melibatkan seorang warga PAKISTAN yang menggunakan IC Sabah dan menyatakan bahawa dia berasal daripada Sabah namun apabila disuruh menyanyikan lagu Negaraku dan lagu Kebangsaan Sabah, warga pakistan tersebut tidak mampu melakukannya. 

Antara maklumat yang diperolehi oleh pihak SSKM adalah segala dokumen yang dibawa oleh warga Pakistan tersebut adalah SAH dan penahanan tidak dapat dilakukan.

Maka, untuk tindakan Warganegara Sabah dan Warganegara Sarawak sekalian, perkara seperti Projek IC serta pemalsuan IC dan MyKAd adalah suatu yang sangat merosakkan kedaulatan negara-negara kita.

Semoga lebih ramai yang akan melaporkan kepada pihak SSKM berkenaan perkara ini secara TERUS agar dapat didedahkan di SSKM Media Network Television.

Bumburing echoed Bingkor assemblyman DATUK DR. JEFFREY KITINGAN'S demand

KOTA KINABALU: The latest statement by the new Sulu Sultan that the Sulu Sultanate will continue to pursue its claim on Sabah is disquieting, said Tamparuli assemblyman Wilfred Bumburing.

He said it was alarming that despite numerous calls for action, Barisan Nasional (BN) government leaders were being indifferent to a scandal that has compromised national security.

He questioned the government’s continued silence over what is turning out to be the exposure of a decade-long immigration fiasco in Sabah.

Bumburing, who the president of Movement for Change Sabah (APS), said that by their silence, state and federal authorities are confirming the long-held suspicion that a citizenship-for-votes scheme was an exercise to re-engineer the state’s population demographics.

“In fact the Malaysian government seems to portray Malaysia as being a country that is not affected at all by the influx of illegal immigrants coming into this country especially those illegal landings on Sabah shores,” he said recently.

He echoed Bingkor assemblyman Jeffrey Kitingan’s demand that the federal government recall all identity cards (ICs) issued by the National Registration Department (NRD) in Sabah for review.

Bumburing said the exposure of a recent case involving a robbery suspect in possession of a genuine MyKad and similar cases should be enough justification by the authorities to recall citizenship documents issued to hundreds of thousands residing in Sabah.

He also questioned how many of the over 860,000 foreigners identified in the 2010 census had been granted citizenship.

Bumburing also said that it was disquieting that the sudden population surge experienced by Sabah took place after 1990, the year Umno spread its wings to the state.

“Perhaps, a new kind of Mykad solely in Sabah-born Malaysians may be considered if the NRD continues to issue Mykad to undeserving citizens,” he said.
