IGNORANT: Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom - 20 Point agreement with SABAH (in 1963) is not the 10-point solution made in 2011.

The Ten Point Solution made in 2011 is as follows:

1. Bibles in all languages can be imported into the country, including Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia.

2. These Bibles can also be printed locally in Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. This is a new development which should be welcome by the Christian groups.

3. Bibles in indigenous languages of Sabah and Sarawak such as Iban, Kadazan¬Dusun and Lun Bawang can also be printed locally and imported.

4. For Sabah and Sarawak, in recognition of the large Christian community in these states, there are no conditions attached to the importation and local printing of the Bibles in all languages, including Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia and indigenous languages. There is no requirement for any stamp or serial number.

5. Taking into account the interest of the larger Muslim community, for Peninsula Malaysia, Bibles in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, imported or printed, must have the words “Christian Publication” and the cross sign printed on the front covers.

6. In the spirit of 1Malaysia and recognising that many people travel between Sabah and Sarawak and Peninsula Malaysia, there should be no prohibitions and restrictions for people who bring along their bibles and Christian materials on such travel.

7. A directive on the Bible has been issued by the Ketua Setiausaha (KSU) of the Home Ministry to ensure proper implementation of this cabinet decision. Failure to comply will subject the officers to disciplinary action under the General Orders. A comprehensive briefing by top officials, including the Attorney General (AG), will be given to all relevant civil servants to ensure good understanding and proper implementation of the directive (See Attachment 1).

8. For the impounded Bibles in Kuching, Gideon, the importer can collect all the 30,000 Bibles free of charge. We undertake to ensure the parties involved are reimbursed. The same offer remains available for the importer of the 5,100 Bibles in Port Kiang, which have already been collected by the Bible Society Malaysia (BSM) last week.

9. Beyond the Bible issue, the Government wishes to reiterate its commitment to work with the Christian groups and all the different religious groups in order to address interreligious issues and work towards the fulfilment of all religious aspirations in accordance with the constitution, taking into account the other relevant laws of the country. In order to bring urgency to this work, in my capacity as the Prime Minister, I will meet the representatives of the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) soon to discuss the way forward.

10. The Christian Ministers in the cabinet will meet on a regular basis with representatives of the various Christian groups in order to discuss their issues and work with the relevant Ministries and myself in order to resolve them. As the leader of this country, I wish to reiterate the Government’s commitment in solving any religious issues in this country. There is a need to manage polarities that exist in our society to achieve peace and harmony. I believe the best way to achieve this is through respect, tolerance, forgiveness and reconciliation.

Upko backs DATUK DR. JEFFREY KITINGAN call to reconvene RCI

Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan is the Chairman of STAR Sabah and State Assemblymen for N33, Bingkor, Sabah.
He also contested in P180, Keningau and garnering 11900 strong votes

Citing the recent arrest of a security guard with a fake Sabah IC and a Pakistani 'Sabahan' charged with murder, Upko said "security is now the state’s main concern".

RANAU: A Barisan Nasional coalition party from Sabah has joined the clamor for the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on alleged massive immigration racketeering in Sabah to reconvene to hear new evidence of the blowback of the alleged operation.

The United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) said the arrest of a security guard with Sabah identification papers who shot dead a bank officer recently presents a strong basis for recalling all the identity cards issued in Sabah.

Ewon Benedick, a rapidly rising leader in the party, said such an exercise would help facilitate a thorough screening of citizenship papers issued in the state.

Benedick also wants the commission to hold a special investigation that will focus on the bank robbery as the suspect was in possession of a Sabah IC that had allowed him to get through immigration at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) and even secure a job in a security firm.

The Upko Komulakan (a youth wing of the party) chief said the probe was necessary due to “many” foreigners being in possession of Sabah ICs holding jobs in both the public and private sectors in the county.

Speaking to the media after launching the 46th annual sports of SK Kiau in Ranau Sports Complex on Tuesday, he cited the case of the leader of the Sulu militants who invaded Lahad Datu in February this year being a former Assistant District Officer for Kudat.

“Last year, when a Pakistani was brought to court in connection with a murder case of a teenage girl in Kota Marudu, I made an open suggestion to the Royal Commission of Inquiry to widen its scope to also investigate how he obtained his IC and was allowed to operate business.

“The fact that they are now in the private and business sectors, probably also now in the public service, is worrying as criminal case(s) like these (instances) has gone up in numbers. Security is now the state’s main concern as more and more Sabahans feel insecure,” he added.

Benedick also recalled how Deputy IGP Bakri Zinin had once described illegal immigrants as ‘the mother of all problems’ in Sabah when he was the deputy police chief in the state.
Recall ICs

That warning echoed an observation by former Suhakam Commissioner Simon Sipaun of a possible reverse takeover of the state due to a scheme codenamed Project IC, a clandestine operation to grant illegal immigrants citizenship in exchange for votes.

Upko’s stand, Benedick said, is to recall and re-issue identity cards to only genuine Malaysians in Sabah as stated by party president, Bernard Dompok.

Dompok’s call was also endorsed by fellow BN component party leaders, Joseph Pairin Kitingan of Parti Bersatu Sabah and Joseph Kurup of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah.

Benedick, who is also the party’s Kota Belud chief, said he and all of his members are ready to return their ICs to the authority to allow for investigation and re-issuance of a new ICs for genuine Sabahans.

“With a stronger state representation in the federal cabinet, I believe we can push for a comprehensive solution to this problem. I don’t see any reason why we cannot adopt the proposal. What we need is only stronger political will.

“We are also looking forward to see the report by RCI and what is their recommendation.

“The state BN government has made it number one priority to pursue solution for this problem and to go along with the recommendation by the RCI,” he added.

EXCLUSIVE: 1987 Ming Court Affair - SARAWAK

1987 Ming Court Affair

This political crisis already started brewing when Tun Datuk Patinggi Abdul Rahman Ya'kub was the Governor of Sarawak/Yang di-Pertua Negara of Sarawak (1981-1985)

He criticized his nephew (YB Pehin Sri Dr. Abdul Taib Mahmud) in a speech at a ceremony of opening of the Bintulu port in 1983.

In 1985, Rahman Ya'kub was involved in a bitter dispute with his nephew, Abdul Taib Mahmud over allocation rights.

In 1987, Rahman Ya'kub formed a new party named Parti Persatuan Rakyat Malaysia Sarawak (PERMAS) in order to challenge Taib Mahmud at the polls. He also formed an alliance with Sarawak Dayak People's Party (PBDS) in order to unseat Taib Mahmud.

In March 1987, 27 of the 48 state assemblymen suddenly directed their support to Rahman Ya'kub while calling Taib Mahmud to resign as a chief minister. Among the defectors were Taib's 4 cabinet ministers and 3 assistant ministers.

A war of accusations on timber concessionaires then broke out between Rahman Ya'kub and Taib Mahmud. Taib Mahmud revoked 30 timber licenses held by his defectors and Rahman's clients. Taib then accused Rahman for awarding 1.25 million hectares of logging concessions worth RM 22.5 billion to Rahman himself and his relatives. Rahman Ya'kub, in return, revealed a list of timber concessions covering 1.6 million hectares held by Taib's clients and family.

Despite the unsuccessful attempt at the 1987 Sarawak state election, Rahman continued his struggle with his allies, Sarawak Dayak People's Party against Taib's led Sarawak Barisan Nasional until 1991 Sarawak state election when Taib's coalition won an overwhelming majority of 49 out of 56 seats in the state assembly

Another interesting character must be Datuk Justin Jinggut, a former SNAP vice president who is now actively promoting himself to be the PKR supremo in Sarawak.

Interestingly Justin Jinggut is Norlia Tun Abdul Rahman's husband. Now, who is Justin Jinggut again?

"I believe the first double-frogged politician was “born” in Sarawak. It was in Sarawak where this culture of double-frogging began when Ulu Rajang MP Justine Jinggut elected unopposed on a SNAP ticket in the 1982 parliamentary election defected to Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) in 1983.

In 1986, he contested on a PBDS ticket and won with a big majority. He leapfrogged back to SNAP before 1987. In 1990 he stood again on a SNAP ticket and was soundly defeated by Billy Abit Joo of PBDS." - The Broken Shield

EXCLUSIVE: (1991) DATUK DR. JEFFREY KITINGAN ditahan ISA

(1991) Dr. Jeffrey G Kitingan ditahan ISA

Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan is the Chairman of STAR Sabah and State Assemblymen for N33, Bingkor, Sabah.
He also contested in P180, Keningau and garnering 11900 strong votes

GOD is watching!

Ogos 1963

(NOTA: PENAHANAN DI BAWAH ISA OLEH KUALA LUMPUR TELAH MEMPROMOSI SATU BENTUK TERROR (terrorist act) KEPADA RAKYAT SABAH AGAR TUNDUK KEPADA KUALA LUMPUR SEPENUHNYA)

EXCLUSIVE: (1986 – 1994) Kejatuhan Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS)

(1986 – 1994) Kejatuhan Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS)

(ref: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4_hTItpHr4&feature=youtu.be).
